About The CLC
The future belongs to those who know how to learn! We at the South Manchester CLC believe that learning is fun and that a new moel of learning is needed to prepare our students for an ever changing and demanding future.
This has been our busiest year yet and we are nearly fully booked for next year! That still leves 'out of hours', weekends and holidays for those brave enough to try a different approach - all are welcome and we value the opportunity to build relationships with our partner organisatios.
We are continually inspired by the determination of visiting staff and students to 'make a difference' and we endeavour to support them whenever we can. We believe that we have the ability and resources to change lives and make a difference.
'Every Learner Matters' at the CLC and we teach everyone that learning is a powerful force that is fundamental in solving problems, enabling success which in turn promotes lifelong learning. We aim to improve life skills by giving everyone the tools to succeed.
We encourage communication and honesty. All learners, staf and teachers are encouraged to list, ask questions and enjoy everything they do at the centres.
The CLC is about improving the life skills of children and young adults, by offering outstanding teaching methods and providing a servce that helps teachers to teach and learners to learn.
We have recently converted entirely to Apple Mac computers and we are very excited at the opportunities they provide to develop further our creative approach to the use of ICT. We are committed to the use of rich media and variety in our teaching and focus as much as possible on individual needs and how to engage students and promote creative thinking, risk taking and e-learning to personalise the learning.
We will continue to provide opportunities for family learning and are introducing the new 'Digital Cre8tor' award for those who need a certificate! If you are interested in developing digital content please get in touch - we are very keen to develop this work. |
